In Loving Memory of Geri Taylor: A Legacy of Passion and Dedication in the Fight Against Alzheimer’s Disease
We are deeply saddened by the loss of Founding Board Member of Voices of Alzheimer’s, Geri Taylor, a distinguished leader whose compassion and dedication have left an enduring mark on everyone she touched. Geri passed away due to complications from Alzheimer’s disease on Sunday, August 4th, and her absence continues to be profoundly felt by all who were fortunate to know her.
From the start of her 45-year career as a healthcare executive and nurse, Geri was driven by a deep commitment to making a meaningful impact on her patients. Diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease at the age of 69, Geri was a passionate advocate for Alzheimer’s awareness and care, dedicating herself to supporting others affected by the disease. She championed the importance of clinical trial participation, advocated for equitable treatments for individuals living with the disease, and provided hope to those affected.
Geri’s unwavering dedication has left a lasting legacy of compassion and advocacy. Her early vision and leadership were instrumental in shaping Voices of Alzheimer's into the impactful advocacy organization it is today. We are deeply grateful for her support and invaluable contributions, which have profoundly influenced the Alzheimer’s community.

Her bravery and the grace with which she faced this horrible disease was admirable and she never lost her kind spirit and the love for her husband and family.
