Introducing the VoA Foundation
We are proud to introduce the VoA Foundation, an educational initiative born from Voices of Alzheimer’s. Our organization, led by individuals living with Alzheimer's, is on a mission to transform the landscape of Alzheimer's care and understanding.
Through the VoA Foundation, we aspire to eradicate stigma, champion equality, and craft educational resources that shed light on cutting-edge innovations in care and treatment. Our vision? A world in which individuals grappling with Alzheimer's and other cognitive illnesses can embrace a life filled with well-being and joy.
Empowering Lives with Our Monthly Newsletter
Each month, the VoA
Foundation will publish a newsletter to serve as
a gateway to a treasure trove of personal stories,
the latest Alzheimer’s resources, and
intellectually stimulating articles—all crafted to
enrich the lives of individuals living with or at
risk of Alzheimer's and other cognitive illnesses.
Join us in our quest to make a difference. Together, we will enlighten, empower, and uplift.
Personal Story Spotlight
In each newsletter, we highlight the incredible stories andexperiences of individuals living with the disease, their family members, orcare partners who play a vital role in the lives of those with Alzheimer's. This month, we are spotlighting VoA Foundation Board Member, Phil Gutis.
Phil Gutis
“When I got my diagnosis of early onset Alzheimer’s through the aducanumab Alzheimer’s drug trial in 2016 (which was later FDA approved and rebranded under the name Aduhelm), I knew next to nothing about the disease —but I did know I was going to want to write about it, because that's what I do. I also became part of the Alzheimer’s Association’s National Early-Stage Advisory Group. Since then, I've been speaking and writing and talking and thinking nonstop about Alzheimer’s, and trying to make change, primarily through telling my story.”
